The Produced Water 2 (PW2) Project aims to treat the wastewater (approximately 210 kbwpd) generated from the operations at Degassing Stations 6, 7 and 8 in the West Qurna 1 area.
The facilities in the Produced Water 2 (PW2) Project are in addition to the Produced Water 1 (PW1) Project with a capacity of 90 kbwpd, and both facilities will treat the water required for the facilities located in the DS7 region.
CP Scope:
A galvanic system has been selected for the cathodic protection of the reinforcements in the foundations of the equipment in contact with the soil. Considering the environmental conditions and electrolytic medium resistivity, the anodes in the galvanic system to be installed were selected zinc alloy. Kortek’s contract within the scope of the related project is the supply of a total of 12000 Zinc Alloy Galvanic anodes, and the production and shipment of the anodes has been completed as of the end of March 2021
